Our journey took us to Cape Coast, where the haunting histories of Elmina and Cape Coast Castles stand as solemn reminders of the transatlantic slave trade. These powerful sites spark deep reflection. Yet just beyond them, Ghana’s coastline comes alive with golden beaches and palm-lined serenity, from Busua to Kokrobite.
Nature in Ghana is equally remarkable. In Mole National Park, we witnessed elephants roaming free at sunrise. At Kakum National Park, we braved the canopy walkway for sweeping views of lush rainforest—an unforgettable adventure.
Culture pulses everywhere. In Kumasi, the energy of local markets, the beauty of Kente cloth, and the rhythms of traditional drumming reveal a people deeply connected to their roots.
Ghana is not paradise in the glossy, postcard sense. It’s a living, breathing paradise—one of resilience, hospitality, and joy. We arrived as travelers but left feeling at home.
